• 2.30pm – 3.30pm Q&A SESSION HOSTED by Dr.ALEX EPSTEIN from VOLPE. 5-10 minute presentation about latest findings on the safety/risk management benefits of side guards, an available safety technology to reduce severity of collisions with pedestrians and bicyclists; their recent adoption by major cities and private fleets in the US, current and future side guard laws, and an overview of the USDOT technical standard published last year. 20-25 minutes of Q&A and discussion, Dr. Epstein will be available for a 1:1 meetings
